One of my favorite ways to spice up an outfit is by adding unexpected and quirky pieces. Adding something with a little bit of flair will instantly make any outfit more interesting and will definitely make you the center of fashion attention. One of my favorite quirky pieces that I own are a pair of cat flats that I found on GoJane. The original cat flats, which were created by fashion designer Charlotte Olympia, instantly caught my eye when I spotted them in various fashion magazines. Although I loved the style and design I was not willing to spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes. However after finding them on GoJane for half the price I knew I had to have them. I love wearing them with a pair of skinny jeans and my peter pan collar polka dot sweater. It creates a fun and girly look and is still pulled together at the same time.
Cheetah cat flats are too cute! These super bold cat flats are the focal point of the outfit and by pairing them with monochromatic creme they stay the focal point. Her silk button up and pants are the perfect counter part to these feline shoes and by pairing it with minimal accessories, these shoes have a chance to stand out.
While keeping the look monochromatic is definitely smart, you can also pair these cat flats with something edgy such as a pair of bold red pants and a jean jacket. This outfit works perfectly because the cat flats are now black and work as a neutral. I'm also kind of obsessed with this jean jacket because of the super fun patches that are all over it.
Meow to spotted pants and cat flats! While some may think that the spotted pants, cat eye sunglasses and cat flats are a little too much, I think it's a edgy and fun look that plays on the theme. The pants work perfectly because they are black and white and act as a neutral along with the cat flats which are a neutral. When wearing printed pants however make sure that they fit like a glove and hug your body. I love how she keeps the top simple by pairing this look with a classic black button up.
Alexa Chung is known for her quirky cool style, so of course she expertly pairs her cat flats with a beautiful and chic red dress. Fun sunglasses and an edgy clutch complete her look and turn it into something anybody can wear. Although one may typically wear a pair of heels with a dress, try instead a pair of cute flats. Flats can dress up a look just as much as heels can and they are also super comfortable
Lovelies, what do you think of cat flats? Would you ever try this trend?
