The season of Christmas and New Year’s festivities is practically upon us once more! After my recent post about holiday parties, I have been pondering about my holiday gathering that I intend to have. I mean, I have to practice what I preach and no better time to throw a party than Christmas time! So far I plan to host a nice cocktail party with friends where we can chat over drinks and food. And what’s a cocktail party without a cocktail dress, right? In my hunt for the perfect holiday party dress, I found some really great styles that some of you Lovelies may love too!
We all know that the little black dress is one of the most important staples in a fashionista’s wardrobe. You can rock your LBD this holiday season to look classy and just add some fun jewelry to make it more festive! This black dress from Forever 21 is so beautiful yet simple and you’ll be able to wear it to events year round. The red version is also very sophisticated but sexy so that is a great option as well. And at less than twenty dollars, how can you refuse this deal!
Red is the classic color of Christmas and one of my favorite colors to wear. It is rich and flattering so definitely a good choice of color for your party dress this year! Of course, I like a little bling for the holidays so this ASOS dress is perfect! You will be ladylike while in the spirit and you’re sure to get many compliments! It is also available in black and creme.
For the ladies that like to be a little sexy, this dress from NastyGal is the one for you! It shows a little skin but leaves some for the imagination as well, which is the perfect balance in my opinion. Since it is a bit more revealing (the back is low cut as well,) I like that it is a darker color and simpler design. Although you may want to make a statement, having too much going on with your outfit can make a bad statement. So keep it simple and classic if you want to show off what you’ve got in a low cut dress. And don’t forget that confidence is the most important accessory that finishes any outfit!
Lovelies, which dress do you like?
