I don't about you Lovelies, but my summer has been a rainy one. I guess nothing says "summer" like heat, humidity and torrential downpours, but this does mean that instead of cute wedges, I'm still reaching for my trusty rain boots.

There's something about rain boots that make them seem like ideal footwear for spring and fall, but they are essential for summer storms, too. If you still don't have a pair yet and don't live in a desert, I think it's time to get shopping.

I'm all about bright colors when it comes to summer, and these green Target wellies have a lot of that. The lack of patterns also make them more versatile than you make think. And let's be honest, they have the look of classic Hunter boots for a fraction of the cost.

I know I just said that rain boots are meant to be bright, but they are also a great way to express your more whimsical side. And really, how adorable would these birdie boots be on a rainy day?

These Kohl's rain boots aren't your traditional printed pair, but are perfect if you like the Western trend. Plus they would fit right in during those rainy days in the fall.

Rain boots might get a bad rep now and then, but I promise rain boots can be chic too. I like to think if Coco Chanel wore rain boots — totally possible since Hunter boots were fashionable by the end of World War II — they would resemble this quilted pair. Also a neutral pair goes with everything if you're worried about clashing.

Because what could make your feet happier on a rainy day than wearing sunshine yellow boots with goldfish on them?

Lovelies, which rain boots are your favorite? What do yours look like? And don't forget to share any tips for rain boot shopping!
