When it comes to my everyday style, I wear jeans more than anything else. I’m rarely ever seen in a skirt. I don’t dislike skirts, they just feel too dressy for school. But lately I have had a change of heart.
Lately, I have noticed a lot of great fall looks for skirts. One magazine I read suggest that just because it is fall doesn’t mean you can’t show a little skin, and a skirt is a great way to do that.
These are the skirts I am dying to buy and how to wear them:
1. A-Line Mini Skirt
An A-line mini skirt is a soft, feminine take on the mini skirt. Unlike the bandage skirt that has been so popular the past few seasons, the a-line has a fuller skirt and can be easily dressed up or down. I love the simple look of an A-line skirt paired with a basic tee or with a structured blazer, as worn by Lauren Conrad. You can even take this look to night by adding platform heels and a statement necklace.
2. Maxi-Skirt
This summer I developed a love for maxi dresses and am excited to take the look into fall with the maxi skirt. I love a floral print or a layered sheer style. The maxi skirt has a vintage 70s vibe and looks awesome paired with some rougher pieces like a denim shirt or a cool vest.
3. Floral
I have been loving this look this summer and think it looks just as good paired with boots for the fall. A denim shirt makes this style look fabulously 90s.
Will you be adding any skirt to your fall wardrobe? Which is your favorite style?

Yes! Mini-skirts!

I think mini-skirts are cute, but I’ve got some fat, pale legs. I’m going to stick to something a little longer, the shortest I would go is a few inches above the knees. Personally I like dresses more, but I could see some of the maxi and floral skirts in my future

Maxi dresses aren’t very cute in my opinion, plus they only work for tall people. I love mini skirts with an a-line shape, though, they usually come to a perfect length for my short-ass legs. The best thing about fall is getting to pair skirts and tights again… though realistically, it won’t feel like “fall” here until the start of November.

@blackspiders@xanga - i totally agree on the maxi dresses, short people look even shorter with it on.
