This eye-catching coral and purple color combination has been worn by numerous celebrities. It makes you wonder if there was some sort of newsletter sent to all the famous women in the world. Yeah, it’s called a trend report.
Color blocking has been extremely popular this past season and will continue to be for the rest of the summer. I love this ongoing trend. The color combination is a thumbs up in my opinion. Although it’s a tough look to pull off, celebrities are still taking the risk. Camilla Belle (in Gucci) is just one of the few women who fell for this trend.
Jessica Alba in Diane Von Furstenberg.
Cheryl Cole in an Oscar De la Renta top, Diane Von Furstenberg pant, and a Burberry belt.
June Ambrose in what is believed to be Gucci.
Rihanna in a cropped sweater and orange pant. (Yes, that means I couldn’t find out who designed it).
Kim Kardashian in Gucci.
Although this dress received a good amount of criticism, I adore it. The same dress Kim wore was used for multiple magazine covers. It really shows how well the two colors go together as well as prove that the Gucci dress is absolutely gorgeous.
The colors together really make the covers pop. This Gucci dress was worn by January Jones (Marie Claire), Lara Stone (Paris Vogue) and Jennifer Lawrence (Flare).
Am I the only one who likes this trend? What do you Lovelies think?

well, the dress looks better on the magazine covers than on the two from the critical article. The colors DO work together since the colors are warm-near-complements, but a dress like that requires a very certain shape (or attitude) to make it work

the dress is eh. but like..it depends on who’s wearing it. the monaco royal looked mad awkward in it, but everyone who wore is wear makes it work. it definitely looks better filled out.4

I love curvy girls, but that dress that Kim is wearing is just not for her curves.

Color blocking can look great with colorful clothing that is simple in structure and well-fitting. I’m not crazy about the way that Jessica Alba and Cheryl Cole did it because Jessica’s clearly does not fit her(even as a maternity dress)and Cheryl just has too much going on with the ruffles on top and the wide legged pants. And I’m not sure why she is missing her feet…

It is a great color combination, but it isn’t going to work for every outfit. The only look I like is the last dress which would still look better in a solid color.

i think this style is way too cool. its not harsh or strong looking since theyre not directly complementary, i would definitely try this for a bold look. i especially love camilla belles. wow.

im pretty sure katy perry’s done this a billion times
