i hate plus sized models.

I think it’s great.  She’s a wonderful example of how “plus-sized” does NOT mean “fat.”  And she is proof that you don’t have to be a size 0 or 2 to be fucking hot.

@jaclyn - Because the fashion industry is unbelievably sizeist and fucked-up.  They would like us all to believe that that if we don’t fit into sample sizes, we fit into a different (and less desirable) category.  Screwwww that!

She’s pretty, but I find it strange that she looks so small from the waist up, but the waist down is what puts her into the category of “plus-sized”. Think they might ever get a model with real cheeks?

Good for her. She’s certainly the face for plus-sized models. And, for the most part, she knows how to actually model (wish I could say the same for some size 0 models :/ )

she should be considered plus-sized, for a model of course.  it’s an industry.  it’s artificial.
normally she’s be in average weight range, not slim nor overweight.  for people who are aghast at her being considered plus-sized…it should be noted that the plus-sized models who are considerably larger are, health-wise, overweight/obese.  just like size 0-2 models shouldn’t be a standard for women to compare herself to, neither should plus-sized models.  being emaciated is not healthy, but neither is being overweight or obese.

Ok I looked it up, crystal renn wears a size 10. TEN PEOPLE. Since when is size ten plus size? Just because she has curves she’s an average person… not plus size.

Wow I’ve totally seen that first picture of her, thought it was gorgeous, and posted it on my tumblr. I woulda never known she’s plus sized. She really just looks like any other skinny model on the left photo. I think she is the actual meaning of ‘plus-size’. She isn’t fat, she is just bigger proportionately, and still looking really good.

I think it’s funny/odd that the modeling industry doesn’t have models that reflect society, but some dream unattainable fantasy ideal, yet they don’t point out  that they are different. They try to make us believe that everybody should LOOK that way, since looks are what they are all about, nothing more, nothing less. Modeling and Fashion is a form of art, yet they are just projecting something that’s not real. Modeling/Fashion is less and less of a reflection of society, but if we buy into their art, we are supposed to be unreal and “fantasy.”

She’s gorgeous, but I find it upsetting that she was the only one included…it shows that we have a long way to go before the fashion industry really accepts any size above a 0…btw, since when is a size above a 0 considered plus-size?  What the fuck?

She’s gorgeous! I didn’t look at all of the other models, so I can’t really say if I think her spot is too low/high. 

Yeah, I was reading somewhere that 10 is considered plus size.  I disagree.  I would consider that average.  I consider size 14+ plus sized (unless someone was a size 12 and obviously obese/overweight), but that’s just me.

They photoshopped the shit out of her. Unless she has lost a significant amount of weight in the past few months.

Also, she can’t be a size 10 in tops.  Her top is a lot smaller than her bottom.. well her hips/butt(?).
